How It Started

This shop started with a simple idea: create a welcoming place where good coffee meets good people. As a veteran returning to civilian life, the owner wanted to build something that combined service, craft, and community in one honest space.
What started as a neighborhood coffee shop quickly grew into something more — a platform, a gathering point, and a voice for the values that matter most: inclusion, honesty, and the belief that a cup of coffee can do more than wake you up.
That's how Something Wicked began.

We operated as Beans Coffee for over seven years. Same location, same owner, same community roots. But the name felt like a placeholder — and what we were building deserved something that reflected who we actually are.
Something Wicked Coffee is not a new business. It's an honest one. The rebrand is about alignment — making the name match the spirit that was already here.

After years of service and a lifetime of values around community, honesty, and inclusion, the owner saw a gap — a coffee shop that could be more than just coffee. A place that reflects the real values of real people.
That vision became Beans Coffee. And seven years later, it became Something Wicked Coffee — louder, prouder, and more honest than ever.

Beans Coffee Opens
Doors open in Clearfield, Utah. A neighborhood coffee shop with a veteran owner, big dreams, and great espresso.
2018–2019
Community Roots Deepen
Local partnerships, community events, and the start of the shop's culture as a welcoming gathering space for all.
2020
The Window Art Begins
The Wicked Window is born — shop windows become a platform for community expression, social commentary, and values in public view.
2021–2022
Wicked Cookies Launch
Edible-print statement cookies debut — and immediately become a signature product. Cookies with opinions find their audience.
2023
Causes Program Formalized
Wicked Causes officially launches — formalizing community giving around equality, public lands, veterans, and local support.
2024 — NOW
Something Wicked Coffee is Born
A bolder name for the same bold shop. The rebrand reflects who we've always been — independent, inclusive, veteran-owned, and proudly wicked.
